Optimization of psoriasis mouse models

چکیده
Psoriasis, is a common, chronic, autoimmune, inflammatory, relapsing disease, which would benefit from reliable and human-relevant animal models to test drugs pre-clinically understand their mechanism of action. Because its ease use, convenience low cost, the imiquimod (IMQ)-induced psoriasis-like model widely utilized; however, it not known whether all mouse strains are equivalent if hairless appropriate, so that can be further optimized. Under similar experimental conditions, common (BALB/c, C57BL/6J, ApoE) new strain (ApoE/SKH-hr2) as well several inducers (IMQ, IMQ + acetic acid (AcOH) topical AcOH systemic) were compared by clinical, histopathological, biophysical locomotor activity assessments. The BALB/c mice yielded an optimal phenotype with treatment, corresponding phenotypes for other C57BL/6J moderate ApoE mild. In contrast, ApoE/SKH-hr2 mice, result absence Munro abscess in histopathology analysis, left doubt about acquisition. Locomotor treated IMQ, topically systemically showed decreased distance rearing coverage increased immobility treatments. Hence, appears when utilizing application.

Overview of Portfolio Optimization Models
Finding the best way to optimize the portfolio after Markowitz's 1952 article has always been and will continue to be one of the concerns of activists in the investment management industry. Researchers have come up with different solutions to overcome this problem. The introduction of mathematical models and meta-heuristic models is one of the activities that has influenced portfolio optimizati...
متن کاملGenome-Wide Expression Profiling of Five Mouse Models Identifies Similarities and Differences with Human Psoriasis
Development of a suitable mouse model would facilitate the investigation of pathomechanisms underlying human psoriasis and would also assist in development of therapeutic treatments. However, while many psoriasis mouse models have been proposed, no single model recapitulates all features of the human disease, and standardized validation criteria for psoriasis mouse models have not been widely a...

BACKGROUND Scutellaria baicalensis is a Chinese herbal medicine that has been used for centuries to treat psoriasis. Baicalin is one of the major flavonoids and bioactive components of S. baicalensis and is responsible for the pharmacologic actions of the plant. OBJECTIVE This study aimed to investigate the anti-inflammatory effect and keratinocyte differentiation-inducing activity of baicali...
متن کاملAnimal models of psoriasis: a critical appraisal.
Although there is no naturally occurring disorder in laboratory animals that mimics the complex phenotype of psoriasis, a large number of spontaneous or genetically engineered mutations in rodents, immunological reconstitution approaches or xenotransplantation models have shed light on specific aspects implicated in the pathophysiology and therapy of psoriasis. Animal models have helped to eluc...
متن کاملModels in the Research Process of Psoriasis
Psoriasis is an ancient, universal chronic skin disease with a significant geographical variability, with the lowest incidence rate at the equator, increasing towards the poles. Insights into the mechanisms responsible for psoriasis have generated an increasing number of druggable targets and molecular drugs. The development of relevant in vitro and in vivo models of psoriasis is now a priority...
